This Monster Called Death

This monster called death
Has marauded mankind for ages
Separating relations, allies and foes
Man has conquered the depth, animals and skies

But he’s been conquered by this monster called death
Who still parades our world untamed
Then I hear a voice whisper to me:
The Son who died, was buried and rose

Has conquered death through His death
And those who put your trust in Him
Have conquered death just as He did
To you and all who trust in Him

Death is now a subdued horse waiting to be sent
To bring home the triumphant saints.
