Forbidden food tastes the best
Not for its essence but curiosity makes it so
The road never taken appeals the most
And the pleasantest things are those we lack
The more we get, the more we want
Never satisfied with all we have
We strive, we fight, we cry, we drag
Just to feed our wanton greed
Then I heard a voice that spoke to me:
“That’s just the nature of the clay
To seek and seek and search
To fill the void within
And when we leave this side of life
We go with nothing to show for our strive”.
Nice poem with a good message
